Are you starting your career in finance and eager to grow in a hands-on, supportive environment? Join BDO as a Junior Business Controller and help shape how our Finance Department supports the business. At BDO you’re more than a number: we invest in your wellbeing and development because when you grow, our clients and the firm grow too. Let’s grow together.

What will you be doing?

As a Junior Business Controller you will support the team with practical, high-impact tasks and gradually take on more responsibility:

· Collect, validate and maintain performance data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Help prepare budgets, support variance analyses and contribute to short- and medium-term forecasts.

· Monitor KPI’s and produce clear, concise reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

· Assist in month-end closing tasks and basic financial reconciliations.

· Propose simple process improvements to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.

· Present findings and recommendations to your manager and, over time, to wider stakeholders.

· Work closely with senior controllers who will coach and mentor you throughout your development.

What do you bring to the table?

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or similar.

· Up to 2 years’ relevant experience (internships, traineeships or first job experience all count).

· Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus.

· Good communication skills in Dutch and/or French + English knowledge.

· Curious, pragmatic and organized — you enjoy turning numbers into clear actions.

· Rigorous attention to detail and a desire to learn (you don’t need to know everything yet).

· Proactive and autonomous mindset: you spot opportunities to improve processes and like to get things done.

What do we bring to the table?

· Real responsibility from day one, with structured mentoring and on-the-job coaching.

· A clear development path and access to BDO Academy training (technical and soft skills).

· Flexible working (hybrid options) and attention to wellbeing.

· A collaborative culture with approachable experts across functions.

· Competitive salary and benefits package.

· Opportunity to work on visible projects and make a measurable impact early in your career.
