As a ServiceNow Developer, you’ll be part of a small but fast-growing team that fully owns the ServiceNow platform. The platform is a strategic pillar within BDO and continues to expand across multiple business processes. You’ll work independently, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and actively shape the platform’s future.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting end users and key users with incidents, questions, and small changes.
  • Developing and debugging complex scripts, including Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
  • Working in an agile setup, translating epics into stories and delivering in sprints.
  • Contributing to projects that introduce new functionality or extend existing and new modules.
  • Developing in a dev environment and migrating changes correctly via update sets or scoped applications.
  • Participating in platform and module upgrades (ITSM, CSM, WSD), including preparation, testing, clone-backs, and post-upgrade checks.
  • Phasing out or replacing legacy custom applications when needed.
  • Maintaining documentation and sharing knowledge within the team.
  • Continuously learning about new ServiceNow modules, features, and best practices.
  • Actively contributing ideas around performance optimization, governance, and platform improvements.

What do you bring to the table?

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript within ServiceNow and the ability to independently build and understand complex scripts.
  • Experience with update sets, scoped applications, and application lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow upgrades, including cloning, testing, and upgrade-related processes.
  • Solid knowledge of ITSM; experience with CSM and WSD is a strong plus.
  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, micro-certifications) are an asset, not a must.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Dutch or French.
  • Willingness to work part of the week from our Zaventem office, combined with home working.
