Welcome to the BDO family, a worldwide consulting firm where you can bring your own personality to your job! We help organisations grow sustainably with our expertise in audit & assurance, tax & legal, advisory and accountancy.

At BDO, you are not just a number. Your wellbeing and development are just as important to us as the personal, hands-on advice and pragmatic solutions we offer our clients. Because as you grow, so do we and so do our clients. That is why our slogan is 'Let's Grow Together'!

What will you be doing?

Your job includes the following duties:

  • You handle payroll administration in-house by using our software for Belgian and foreign companies;
  • You will learn to offer proactive advice on official procedures and obligations towards the tax and social security authorities and other official bodies;
  • You will learn to handle all the official procedures relating to payroll administration;
  • In close consultation with our labour law experts, you implement relevant changes to social legislation in the payroll administration;
  • You will report to the manager responsible for the Payroll team. You can count on the entire team for support;
  • The training for this position is based in Antwerp. On non-training days you can work from the office nearest to you.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have at least a Bachelor’s degree or experience in a relevant field;
  • You are meticulous with an eye for detail and aim for quality;
  • Due to strict deadlines you are good at planning and internal organisation;
  • This role requires interest or practical experience with social legislation/payroll administration;
  • Experience with Prisma software is an asset;
  • You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English both written and spoken. Written and spoken knowledge of French is an asset;
  • Customer focus is important to you as you will manage your own client portfolio;
  • You are a teamplayer and always there for your own colleagues as they will always be there for you;
  • You have strong social skills combined with a passion for payroll.

What do we bring to the table?

  • Start in a general position and discover which types of clients, duties or specialisations suit you best. After the starters days, you will build your own career along with your other new colleagues.
  • Take on increasing amounts of responsibility as the rest of your team stands by, ready to support you.
  • BDO Academy’s extensive list of training courses helps you grow both personally and professionally.
  • Sample projects from other Business Practices through our “flex pool”.
  • Options to work from home or from the nearest office, for example, and flexible working hours.
  • A competitive salary package with many attractive benefits such as a net expense allowance, company car, mobile phone plan, hospitalisation insurance, etc.
  • Work at a company with an integrated sustainability policy on issues such as climate impact and equality, diversity and inclusion, which actively contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
