Internship Accounting Hasselt (2024-2025)

BDO offers you a dynamic internship that will introduce you to each stage in the life of a company, step by step. You will work independently, which also translates into responsibility. The BDO Accountancy team is always ready to answer your questions or offer you guidance! You will get a chance to work on larger projects as part of the team and to use and improve your knowledge of accounting, tax and legal matters. Your internship supervisor will also support you in completing your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis.

At BDO Cynex, financial services do not constitute an end in themselves, but instead a means of adequately managing the business. Besides monitoring the day-to-day financial administration, you will gain experience with year-end closings, financial reporting, the creation of financial plans and budgets, financial analyses, etc. under the guidance of your internship supervisor. This is all supported by the latest technologies to enable more efficient financial administration and reporting.

Your varied range of duties includes:

• Collection and processing of financial data for various clients
• Assisting in the preparation of interim financial balances, VAT returns, depreciation tables, etc. (under the supervision of an experienced Senior Accountant)
• You will also be involved in the year-end closing process and other accounting tasks, such as the creation of annual accounts and reports

• You are in your final year of your Bachelor or Master (prefeably related to Accounting)
• You have a strong interest in finance
• Your eagerness to learn, motivation and positive attitude are notable
• You have a strong sense of responsibility
• You are a true team player
• You have a native level of Dutch

• Internship at a large company with many opportunities for you to grow and learn. 
• Internship in a smaller team at a specific office or in a specific department, where everyone can be themselves. 
• Take on increasing amounts of responsibility as the rest of your team stands by, ready to support you. 
• Option to work at our BDO Cynex office
• You can expect to receive guidance on your thesis and also rely on more experienced colleagues to share their knowledge. 
• Internship duration: minimum of 1 month, at least 4 days a week.
