What will you be doing?

As a Manager FS – Customer & Sales (Invest) at BDO, you'll play a crucial role in aiding financial institutions with projects related to investment products and services. What will you be doing?

  • Provide clients with advice on investments challenges, leveraging on your extensive expertise in investment advisory, portfolio management, wealth management, online brokerage, robo-advisory, etc., across various client segments including retail, affluent, private banking, or wealth management.
  • Lead end-to-end investment initiatives for impactful customer outcomes, overseeing project management, risk management, regulatory compliance, knowledge sharing, and budget evaluation, alongside other duties.
  • Develop and implement strategies for investment products and services aligned with overall business objectives and client requirements, including pricing, positioning, and distribution strategies.
  • Analyze data to extract insights into investor behaviors and preferences, thereby optimizing the customer experience and guiding targeted marketing and sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers, wealth advisors, and other stakeholders to understand client needs and gather feedback for product improvement.
  • Actively monitor performance of existing products and services, analyzing key performance indicators, and identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders, including relationship managers and client service teams, to ensure a thorough understanding of investment products and services.
  • Drive business development efforts to grow our client base through preparing proposals, presenting service offerings, initiating client discussions, and taking managing accounts.

What do you bring to the table?

  • have a proven track record of 5+ years in business & transformation within management consulting or financial services, with a particular focus on investment management, product management, or wealth management, and experience in a similar role within banking or asset management is highly desirable.
  • display a robust understanding of investment products and services, including investment advisory, portfolio management, wealth management, online brokerage, robo-advisory, and alternative investments, along with familiarity with various products such as mutual funds, ETFs, bonds, equities and cryptocurrencies.
  • demonstrate a customer-centric approach and strong insight into investor needs, crucial for effective investment product development and marketing, with added value from experience in client segmentation, targeting, and relationship management.
  • are experienced in investment product development and life cycle management, encompassing ideation, design, pricing, and launch, as well as the ability to recognize market opportunities, devise product strategies, and supervise product implementation.
  • having knowledge of regulatory requirements concerning investment products and financial services, along with compliance standards adherence, including familiarity with regulations like MiFID II and other pertinent directives.
  • have strong analytical skills to effectively analyze market trends, assess product performance, and drive data-driven decision-making, including the capability to conduct comprehensive market research, perform competitor analysis, and apply financial modeling techniques to guide strategic decisions.
  • are experienced in directing and supervising business or transformation projects focused on investments with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. This entails close collaboration with sales, marketing, legal, compliance, and IT teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • fluent communication skills in Dutch or French, with a very good knowledge of the other language, along with proficiency in English.
  • Drive business development efforts to grow our client base through preparing proposals, presenting service offerings, initiating client discussions, and managing accounts.
  • Recruit, mentor, and assess junior team members across various client engagements.
  • Contribute to the strategic priorities of the business practice in the digital customer journey domain by identifying market trends, refining value propositions, and defining go-to-market campaigns.
