Operational Resilience Consultant

As the Manager of Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Management at BDO, you'll play a crucial role in assisting clients across various sectors in enhancing their operational resilience and continuity strategies.

In this role, you'll:

• Assist clients in enhancing their operational resilience to manage and withstand disruptions effectively across various sectors.
• Understand the organisation's IT infrastructure, operational processes, and dependencies to identify vulnerabilities and implement resilience measures.
• Develop and implement comprehensive business continuity plans and strategies tailored to client-specific needs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans and strategies tailored to client-specific needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical areas for improvement in operational resilience.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure their operations are robust and flexible enough to adapt to unforeseen challenges.
• Provide expert advice on crisis management, emergency response, and recovery procedures.
• Lead and coordinate response efforts during crises, including communication, resource allocation, and decision-making under pressure.
• Lead workshops and training sessions for clients to elevate their understanding and execution of best practices in resilience and continuity.
• Stay up to date with regulations such as DORA, NIS2, ISO22301, and ISO27001 that impact resilience requirements and demands from our clients.
• Engage in business development efforts, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to proposals and client presentations.

This job is definitely for you if you:

• Have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in operational resilience, business continuity, or a related field within management consulting or relevant industries.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of risk management frameworks and resilience strategies.
• Possess a good understanding of DORA, NIS2, ISO22301, and ISO27001.
• Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
• Are adept at managing projects, coordinating with teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of consultancy services.
• Show strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building client relationships and leading teams.
• Are flexible to work on projects across Belgium, with occasional travel opportunities both domestically and internationally.
• Fluently speak Dutch or French, with a very good command of the other language and English.
