What will you be doing?

As a Senior Data Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:

  • You will be responsible for managing customer projects to successful outcomes. You will do this with a team of data specialists, coaching them to ensure that they are performing at their best and that they are engaged and motivated.

  • You help clients manage and gain insight into their data, both through gaining deep understanding of a clients business needs and by choosing and implementing the right technologies. You will have the opportunity to help determine our offer’s direction and make strategic choices.
  • You will work with tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL databases and Databricks. For this you will need proficiency in Python (PySpark), DAX, and SQL.

  • Activities that may be included in your job description:
    • Data extraction, centralization and transformation
    • Data modelling
    • Reporting and visualisation
    • Deep analyses of data sets such as static analysis or the application of machine learning algorithms.

  • Setting up data governance, data quality and data privacy structures and tools

  • You can focus on specific activities depending on your own interests
  • You will be responsible for helping to develop new business opportunities for BDO Digital, working with clients to identify their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

What do you bring to the table?

  • Master degree in Computer science, Business administration, or related field
  • Independent worker and coach to team members
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch & English. Proficiency in French is an asset
  • Consulting experience is highly desirable
  • You are customer-focused, empathetic, flexible and a good negotiator.
  • You are able to think outside the box 
  • You have technical skills in the following (or equivalent) areas:
    • Cloud Platform (Microsoft Azure)
    • Data modelling techniques
    • Databases (SQL), ETL/ELT
    • Software such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Databricks
