This job in a nutshell

To strengthen our Learning & Development team (BDO Academy), we are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-oriented and accurate Learning & Development Officer.

The Academy team develops and supports learning for more than 900 colleagues and streamlines the delivery of diverse learning solutions to our customers. This learning is very diverse in form and content: from eLearnings to complex blended learning pathways; from specific technical knowledge to personal skills. 

You will be part of a team in full growth that puts learning on the map within BDO as a crucial lever to the success of BDO.  Expertise in learning (or the desire to learn), customer focus, enthusiasm and entrepreneurship are key to our team. 

BDO is a people-oriented organisation with a distinct identity and strong values: learning is part of what we do every day with and for our customers. In addition, you will also be part of the entire HR team of 25 people and you can also rely on the in-house knowledge of experienced trainers and consultants

What will you be doing?

You will administer and provide support for various learning activities :

  • Updating information channels and tools such as LMS, service portal, SharePoint, and web pages
  • Managing our LMS platform (LMS365)
  • Setting up and organizing learning programs and events
  • Responding to inquiries about learning within BDO
  • Developing and managing communications with learners throughout their learning experience

Process and manage documents and data, including :

  • Tracking evaluation forms
  • Preparing documents and reports for professional accreditations
  • Verifying invoices
  • Maintaining the Federal Learning Account up to date
  • Keeping internal reports of learning data up to date

Optimize internal processes :

  • Understanding the goals of BDO Academy
  • Critically reviewing and improving work processes to help achieve our vision in collaboration with internal stakeholders, learners, learning partners, and clients

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English
  • You are proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • You have obtained a bachelor’s Degree in Office Management of gained relevant experience
  • You can quickly adapt to using different applications and tools
  • You have expertise and/or interest in the exciting world of Learning & Development and financial services
  • You are someone who thinks critically, wants to investigate and explore things, enjoys optimizing and making various processes, documents, and communications more efficient, and can bring structure to your work
  • You are enthusiastic with a strong customer-oriented attitude.
