What will you be doing?

As part of BDO’s advisory department, the Strategy & Transformation Team pursues the mission of helping our clients in various sectors to work more (cost-) efficiently, client-focused, people-centric and results-driven.

We are seeking a Senior Manager with a strong background in management consulting to join our insurance transformation service offering. As an ideal candidate you have a deep understanding of the insurance industry, its products, and its ecosystem. You are able to lead the development and implementation of transformational strategies for our clients in the insurance industry while being knowledgeable in the latest trends, technologies, and best practices. You also possess strong leadership skills and experience in managing the impact on data, systems, processes, and organisation when undertaking core insurance renewals. Additionally, you have experience working with relevant technologies such as Guidewire and other insurance back-office systems. It’s essential that you are native in French or Dutch and have a very good knowledge of English.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the development and implementation of transformational strategies for our clients in the insurance industry;
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on insurance products and ecosystem;
  • Conduct research and analysis on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the insurance industry;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Lead and manage project teams to ensure successful project delivery;
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and reports to clients and stakeholders;
  • Manage the practice's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis;
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop proposals for potential clients;
  • Possess strong leadership skills to manage and motivate project teams;

What do you bring to the table?

  • Have a master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Gathered at least 10 years of experience in management consulting in the insurance industry
  • Have deep understanding of the insurance industry, its products, and its ecosystem
  • Possess knowledge of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the insurance industry
  • Gathered experience in leading and managing project teams
  • Have strong financial acumen and experience managing a practice's financial performance
  • Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Are native in French or Dutch and have a very good knowledge of English
