What will you be doing?

As part of BDO’s advisory department, the Strategy & Transformation Team pursues the mission of helping our clients in various sectors to work more (cost-)efficiently, client-focused, people-centric and results-driven.

 

As the Senior Manager Finance Transformation for Financial Services, you will be responsible for building and leading a practice that helps financial services clients transform their finance functions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and agility. An an candidate you have a mix of accounting, financial & regulatory reporting, and management reporting knowledge, as well as transversal core consulting skills, to help clients navigate complex transformations. You also have strong leadership skills to manage teams, develop business, and influence clients and stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Build and lead a service offering that provides finance transformation services to financial services clients
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships
  • Manage teams of consultants and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality services on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their business objectives, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and implement finance transformation initiatives that align with clients' strategic priorities and regulatory requirements, including IFRS and Sustainable Finance (i.e. EU Taxonomy, CSRD, etc.)
  • Conduct assessments, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions to improve finance processes, systems, data, and organisation
  • Lead and support the implementation of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday, to streamline finance operations and enhance data analytics with solutions such as AnaPlan or Tagetik
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as technology vendors, industry associations, and academia, to stay abreast of trends and innovations in finance transformation

What do you bring to the table?

This job is definitely for you if you ...

  • Have a master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Gathered at least 10 years of relevant experience in finance transformation consulting, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and management reporting, with knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Possess strong leadership skills, with experience in building and managing high-performing teams and developing talent
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Have a track record of business development, including lead generation, proposal development, and sales closure
  • Possess transversal core consulting skills, such as project management, problem solving, change management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Gathered experience with the implementation of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday
  • Are flexible in travelling and working in different locations as needed
  • Want to be part of a team with strong growth potential.

You have Dutch or French as your native language, have very good proficiency in the other and are fluent in English.
