What will you be doing?

As part of BDO’s advisory department, the Strategy & Transformation's Team pursues the mission of helping our clients in various sectors to work more (cost-)efficient, customer-focused, people-centric and results-driven. We guide and support our clients to succeed in their journey from strategy definition to implementation and to seek for continuous improvement through multidisciplinary skills, adapted approaches and professional tools.


As Senior Consultant FS – Customer, you will be part of a team with a specific focus on the commercial part of Financial Services sector including banks, insurance companies, payment institutions, etc. and support our clients with their transformation projects. This may involve different objectives: increasing revenues, reducing costs, improving customer satisfaction, digital transformation or complying with regulation.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assess customer needs and define value propositions & go to market strategies;
  • Create & improve customer journeys across various domains like daily banking, lending, investments, life- and non-life insurance, etc.;
  • Participate in defining strategic plan & optimising organizational structure;
  • Advise and support senior management through business analysis & concise well-structured presentations;
  • Manage assignment (kick-off, planning, delivery and monitoring);
  • Make recommendations based on your knowledge and experience in various domains and leverage on BDO’s expertise & network;
  • Build your own network and develop commercial opportunities within your expertise together with your service offering lead;
  • Coach junior profiles on the job and lead by example;
  • Assist the manager and above with service offering and writing proposals;

What do you bring to the table?

This job is definitely for you if you ...

  • have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial sector;
  • have a master's degree in Business Engineering, Economics, Management or a similar domain;
  • have Dutch or French as native language and very good language of the other and be fluent in English;
  • enjoy working in change working environment and have project experience;
  • do not like the status quo and are eager to learn. You are always looking for new challenges;
  • show distinctive analytical & problem-solving skills;
  • demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities;
  • can work under pressure and take responsibility to deliver high quality;
  • likes to take initiative and present new ideas, but is also open to your colleagues’ point of view;
  • have the ambition to have a real impact on the organisations you work with ;
