ESG Advisory Manager

BDO Belgium aims to be a leader in the sustainability transition by providing our clients with guidance and tools in their sustainability journey from upskilling, to creating a strategy and implementation, to ESG reporting and assurance. This is also where you come in as our ESG Advisory Manager!

As part of our ESG Advisory Business Practice, you will have a chance to contribute to the further expansion of our ESG & Sustainability services and help organisations transition to more sustainable business management and reporting.

How you make it count

As ESG Advisory Manager, you support clients with their sustainability transition, adapting to their level of ambition, company context and maturity.

More specifically, you will make a real impact by:

• Leading ESG projects in a Project Manager Role supported by the other team members of the ESG Advisory Business Practice.
• Supporting clients activating/improving their ESG strategy and setting up ESG reporting processes to comply with increasingly complex (future) regulations.
• Help us grow our client base by contributing to business development initiatives such as proposal preparation and presentation. Clients are persuaded of your strategy thanks to your pragmatic, driven approach.
• Tailor and further develop value propositions in the emerging market of ESG Advisory
• Liaise and provide input at our ESG Competence Center to align market expectations with our backbone expertise.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues from various Business Practices to create a real impact for our clients.

What do you bring to the table?

• You are driven to accelerate the transition to sustainable business operations.
• You have more than 5 years of work experience in a project management role in a consulting firm (advisory, audit, accounting,…) and/or have work experience in ESG-related matters and ESG-related technical know-how. A proven track record in advisory, audit or consulting services is a strong asset.
• You can engage with various stakeholders, including (c-level) clients, international BDO member firms and colleagues across the different business practices, to build relationships and manage expectations.
• You can conceptualise strategies and also take the lead in projects’ operational implementation. You like to identify and solve complex ESG-related challenges.
• You want to take initiative and bring new ideas to the table while listening carefully to your colleagues’ points of view.
• You have a strong adaptability and willingness to learn. You are up to date with the latest evolving ESG trends, regulations and reporting standards.
• You are communicative, flexible and results-oriented and aware of the added value of working in and reinforcing a team to achieve maximum results.

You have Dutch or French as your first language and speak fluent English.
