This job in a nutshell

We are looking for a Junior Consultant with growth potential to join our Transfer Pricing consultancy team.

Join the BDO family, a worldwide consulting firm where you can bring your own personality to your job! We help organisations grow sustainably with our expertise in audit & assurance, tax & legal, advisory and accountancy.

At BDO, you are not just a number. Your wellbeing and development are just as important to us as the personal, hands-on advice and pragmatic solutions we offer our clients. Because as you grow, so do we and so do our clients. That is why our slogan is 'Let's Grow Together'!

What will you be doing?

At BDO, you will have the opportunity to assist Belgian and international companies in setting up transfer pricing documentation, during tax audits or when applying for rulings on transfer pricing.

Your job includes the following duties:

  • You will prepare for and attend meetings with our clients to improve your understanding of their business model, and then analyse whether their transfer pricing model is aligned with their business model. You can always call on our organisation’s (international) specialists in the various fields of taxation to help you with this;
  • You help determine the vision of the BDO Transfer Pricing team and participate actively in both internally and externally organised transfer pricing seminars;
  • You act as a specialist in one of the subfields of taxation within our organisation;
  • You report directly to the Tax & Legal Partners and Managers and contribute to the development of the Transfer Pricing department.

As a BDO tax consultant, you keep close track of all the latest tax news. Thanks to our BDO Academy, you can continue developing your professional knowledge, supplemented by external training opportunities.

What do you bring to the table?

  • University degree; Master in Law or Economics with additional training in taxation
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing (planning, setting transfer prices, documentation, tax audits, OECD BEPS context, etc.) or several years of external audit experience
  • Relevant, broad understanding of taxation, particularly (international) corporate tax
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; written and spoken fluency in Dutch, French and English
  • Strong, dynamic personality. You are willing to engage and prepared to become one of our office’s mainstays
  • You have good commercial awareness
  • Meticulous and quality-oriented
  • Proactive, enjoy taking initiative and responsibility

What do we bring to the table?

  • Start in a general position and discover which types of clients, duties or specialisations suit you best. After the starters days, you will build your own career along with your other new colleagues.
  • Take on increasing amounts of responsibility as the rest of your team stands by, ready to support you.
  • BDO Academy’s extensive list of training courses helps you grow both personally and professionally.
  • Sample projects from other Business Practices through our “flex pool”.
  • Options to work from home or from the nearest office, for example, and flexible working hours.
  • A competitive salary package with many attractive benefits such as a net expense allowance, company car, mobile phone plan, hospitalisation insurance, etc.
  • Work at a company with an integrated sustainability policy on issues such as climate impact and equality, diversity and inclusion, which actively contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Were you nodding to yourself enthusiastically as you read through the job description? Then be sure to send us your CV right away! May we soon welcome you as a new colleague!
