For our offices in Zaventem and La Hulpe, we are currently looking for a Junior Tax Consultant specialising in VAT compliance.

What will you be doing?

After an orientation and training period, you will join a team that provides confidential advice to the business manager and financial management on aspects of their policies relating to VAT compliance.

Your job includes the following duties:

  • You will (eventually) advise clients on VAT compliance, both in a national and international context
  • Consulting with our organisation's specialists in subfields of taxation to provide clients with optimal advice
  • Working on most files in close collaboration with company auditors and accountants
  • Contributing to the development and optimisation of existing client relationships
  • Offering business managers and financial management pragmatic advice on the tax and legal aspects of their policies, taking a proactive, highly engaged approach.

As a BDO tax consultant, you keep close track of all the latest tax news to be able to ensure optimally efficient operations at all times. Thanks to our BDO Academy, you can continue developing your professional knowledge, supplemented by external training opportunities.

  • Juggling multiple deadlines during busy VAT return periods or dealing with several different files on the same day? You mastered the required flexibility long ago.
  • Stress? What’s that? You are good at setting priorities and delivering work on time is not a problem for you.
  • You always stay up to date on the latest accounting developments. You enjoy learning new things and attending seminars, conferences and events.
  • You have a Master’s degree or already have previous (internship) experience.
  • You write and speak French and Dutch fluently and also have some proficiency in English.
