This job in a nutshell

Are you communicatively strong, flexible, recently or nearly graduated and do you enjoy variety in your work? Continue developing your talents as a Junior Auditor and member of our dynamic team at Brussels Airport, Brussels Center or La Hulpe.

Join the BDO family, a worldwide consulting firm where you can bring your own personality to your job! We help organisations grow sustainably with our expertise in audit & assurance, tax & legal, advisory and accountancy.
At BDO, you are not just a number. Your wellbeing and development are just as important to us as the personal, hands-on advice and pragmatic solutions we offer our clients. Because as you grow, so do we and so do our clients. That is why our slogan is 'Let's Grow Together'!

What will you be doing?

As a Junior Auditor, you will often work on site for clients varying from small non-profit organisations to large international companies. You and your colleagues review their internal procedures and analyse their finances. Is everything in order? Are there any invoicing inconsistencies? By asking critical questions of both the client and your team, you gain an understanding of the figures and identify potential risks on which to base a work plan. Your specific responsibilities are different each time. Sometimes you are concerned with tangible fixed assets, other times with overhead or interest paid. During processing, you take a proactive approach and continue to communicate clearly with the client and your team. If any information is still missing at the end of the week or client confirmations require follow-up, you communicate this so that you and your team can meet all your deadlines.

What do you bring to the table?

  • If you were to describe yourself, “flexible” would be one of the first terms to come to mind.Juggling multiple deadlines or dealing with several different files on the same day? A piece of cake for you.
  • You are happy to take the initiative and present new ideas, but also receptive to your colleagues' points of view. Team spirit is a given.
  • You insist on accuracy and love diving into all the details.
  • Stress? What’s that? You are good at setting priorities and handle deadlines well.Delivering work on time is not a problem for you.
  • You always stay up to date on the latest changes in the Audit world. You enjoy learning new things and attending tax seminars, conferences and events.
  • You have a Master’s degree or first (internship) experience.
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.

What do we bring to the table?

  • Start in a general position and discover which types of clients, duties or specialisations suit you best. After the starters days, you will build your own career along with your other new colleagues.
  • Take on increasing amounts of responsibility as the rest of your team stands by, ready to support you.
  • BDO Academy’s extensive list of training courses helps you grow both personally and professionally.
  • Sample projects from other Business Practices through our “flex pool”.
  • Options to work from home or from the nearest office, for example, and flexible working hours.
  • A competitive salary package with many attractive benefits such as a net expense allowance, company car, mobile phone plan, hospitalisation insurance, etc.
  • Work at a company with an integrated sustainability policy on issues such as climate impact and equality, diversity and inclusion, which actively contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
