What will you be doing?

As a Junior Software Implementation Consultant, you analyse clients’ problems and are responsible for configuring and optimising business software tools. Our current functional areas include:

  • EPM (Enterprise Performance Management, e.g. Oracle EPM/NSPB/PBCS)
  • PPM (Project Portfolio Management, e.g. Clarity PPM, ServiceNow & KeyedIn Projects)
  • Globis (= logistics and transport ERP)

You are happy to dive into a tool, e.g. Oracle NetSuite, in order to make your client’s operations as efficient and effective as possible;

  • Functional and technical configuration of client-specific requirements,
  • Building and optimising automation processes within the various tools,
  • Building reports within the tools,
  • Data migration,
  • User Acceptance Testing, working out test scenarios,
  • On-site training of clients’ super/admin users,(e.g. by giving demos).

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have a Master’s degree in and a passion for IT implementations. If your studies led you to acquire a solid understanding of financial/business accounting (e.g., Commercial Engineering), that is definitely an asset.
  • Knowledge of, experience in or an affinity with accounting, planning and budgeting is important.
  • You obviously have an interest in software tools and development, databases, queries, scripting and reporting.
  • You have a sharp, analytical mind; you have the ability to approach problems from different angles and make quick decisions. However, you are not purely an IT analyst; you also enjoy implementations.
  • You are client-oriented, with the necessary empathy, negotiation skills and flexibility.
  • You are communicative, results-oriented and aware of the added value of working as a team in order to achieve maximum results.
  • You can work independently and have already learned how to deal with stress from others and in yourself in order to find solutions even in crisis situations.
  • Dutch is your first language, you have proficiency in French and English.

What do we bring to the table?

  • Start in a general position and discover which types of clients, duties or specialisations suit you best. After the starters days, you will build your own career along with your other new colleagues.
  • Take on increasing amounts of responsibility as the rest of your team stands by, ready to support you.
  • BDO Academy’s extensive list of training courses helps you grow both personally and professionally.
  • Sample projects from other Business Practices through our “flex pool”.
  • Options to work from home or from the nearest office, for example, and flexible working hours.
  • A competitive salary package with many attractive benefits such as a net expense allowance, company car, mobile phone plan, hospitalisation insurance, etc.
  • Work at a company with an integrated sustainability policy on issues such as climate impact and equality, diversity and inclusion, which actively contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
