This job in a nutshell

We are currently looking for a Software Implementation Consultant to join our Enterprise Solutions team based in Zaventem.

Join the BDO family, a worldwide consulting firm where you can bring your own personality to your job! We help organisations grow sustainably with our expertise in audit & assurance, tax & legal, advisory and accountancy.
At BDO, you are not just a number. Your wellbeing and development are just as important to us as the personal, hands-on advice and pragmatic solutions we offer our clients. Because as you grow, so do we and so do our clients. That is why our slogan is 'Let's Grow Together'!

What will you be doing?

As a Software Implementation Consultant, you will analyse client issues and be responsible for software configuration and optimisation. The areas in which we are currently active are:

  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning, e.g. Oracle NetSuite)

  • EPM (Enterprise Performance Management, e.g. Oracle EPM/NSPB/PBCS)

  • PPM (Project Portfolio Management, e.g. Clarity PPM, ServiceNow and Keyedin Projects)

  • Globis (ERP for logistics and transport).

You will dive headfirst into a tool such as Oracle NetSuite, with the aim of improving the efficiency of your client’s operations:

  • Functional and technical configuration of specific client requirements

  • Creating and optimising automation processes within the different tools

  • Creating reports within tools

  • Data migration

  • User acceptance testing, writing test scenarios

  • Training of super-users/administrators for the client (e.g. via demonstrations).

What do you bring to the table?

  • You hold a master’s degree and have several (at least 3) years of experience in IT implementation. A diploma entailing acquisition of financial accounting/management concepts  (e.g. sales engineer) is of course a major plus

  • You have experience in implementing business software packages such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, AFAS

  • Knowledge and a certain amount of experience in the area of accounting, planning and budgeting is important

  • You have a clear interest in software and software development, databases, scripting and reporting

  • You have good analytical skills. You are able to approach a problem from different angles and make decisions quickly. However, you are not a “dyed-in-the-wool” IT analyst, as you like to immerse yourself in the implementation

  • You take a client-oriented approach, are empathetic and flexible, and are able to negotiate

  • You have good communication skills, are results-focused and are mindful of the added value of teamwork to achieve optimal results

  • You are able to work independently and manage stress internally and externally, which allows you to find solutions even in crisis situations

  • Your mother tongue is French or Dutch (knowledge of the other language is a plus) and you are also fluent in English.

What do we bring to the table?

  • Culture: you will join a family of experts who encourage respect, diversity and teamwork. You work in an open culture, so feel free to speak to anyone, at any level

  • Development: you decide the direction of your career, and we support you where necessary. Our BDO Academy provides a whole range of training courses to help.

  • Impact: from day 1 you will be given responsibility, with support from your team.

  • Network: you can work on different projects and clients, across business practices.

  • Flexibility: you choose where you work with flexible working hours.

  • Wellbeing: your physical and mental health is important to us.

  • Salary: you receive a competitive salary package with interesting benefits.

  • Sustainability: you work within a company with an integrated sustainability policy.
